Father-in-law

With calm and severed grace he moved his feet through days and commanded the day and deed as his own. He moved with small ornament of light and combed his hair because it is so, and spent his afternoon hunched to fixit in bathroom and garage. Who will remember and forget his brief illicit cigarette- they that mimed, obvious, indiscreet as he inserted the table leaf? In my life, my epic grief- who condescends to mimic me?
