For Bluegrass fans used to dropping 20 bucks a day to see and hear their favorites, this is a treat. Great performers, and it's FREE. I saw the show last year, and it was wonderful. Not exactly in East Lansing -- about an hour away in Auburn Hills. Anybody who's ever parked a lawn chair ought to love this.

This year, event takes place Noon to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, September 11, in Civic Center Park, 1827 N. Squirrel Road. Performers include: The Special Consensus, The Reno Brothers, New Vintage, and Eddie & Martha Adcock.
