My Little Town
       

       Even here
       in the knick knack life
       arranged so well 
       on the knick knack shelf,
       a careless study could tell
       the barely hidden 
       roundness of things,
       sedentary things 
       that given accident 
       or deliberate chance,
       might one day 
       roll eccentric 
       to the horizon,
       to the quick joy
       of the near,
       long,
       perilous
